A Square Root Radical is said to be simplified, or in its simplest form, when the radicand has no square factors.

Consider $$\sqrt{\left(55\right)}$$, for example, has no square factors. Its factors are 5 and 11 $$\left(5\cdot 11=55\right)$$, neither of which is a square number. Therefore, it is in its simplest form.

In contrast $$\sqrt{\left(200\right)}$$, has the square factor 100. $$\left(200=100\cdot 2\right)$$. Therefore, it is not in its simplest form. To get the simplest form $$\sqrt{\left(200\right)}=\sqrt{\left(100\right)}\cdot \sqrt{\left(2\right)}=10\cdot \sqrt{\left(2\right)}$$
